I/O Connectors

I/O (Input/Output) Connectors are electrical connectors that provide high speed data transmission through means of a secure electrical contact between frequently inserted/extracted cables and their application. These connectors are commonly used in products that require data transmission or internet connection such as computers, routers, servers, switches, and allow the I/O of audio/video signal data in applications such as car navigation systems, car audio devices, etc.

Types of I/O Connectors

RJ45

RJ45 connectors were originally designed for the use of telephone communication purposes but now, due to significant advancements, can be used in various different applications. These connectors are used in devices that require an ethernet connection to a local area network (LAN). The modern applications where this type of connector is typically used include computers, high-speed cable modems, Wi-Fi routers and other computer network applications.

D-Sub

D-subminiature (D-sub) connectors are a kind of I/O connector often found in computers but can also be used in other various telecommunication devices, data transmission applications and medical equipment. These connectors are known for their D-shaped metal shourd that is found at the mating point. D-sub connectors are provided in various options that transmit signal, power or a combination of the two. Furthermore, our D-sub connectors are offered with rugged features that allow them to be used in applications that encounter harsh environmental conditions and futher help to prevent accidiental mismating.

USB

USB stands for Universal Serial Bus and is one of the most popular I/O connectors used in electronics. This specific connector provides the transmission of both data and power through a single cable. USB are most commonly used to connect computers to peripheral devices such as keyboards, computer mice, printers, audio devices and digital cameras/camcorders. They are also used in data storing devices including USB flash drives. These USB connectors offer various advantages due to their fast transferring speeds, easily identifiable ports, and affordability.
